What is RSS?

RSS stands for "really simple syndication" and is simply a format for delivering web content that changes often. Subscribing to an RSS feed allows you to say informed by retrieving the latest content from your favorite news-related websites or blogs. By subscribing to an RSS feed, you save time by not having to go visit each website individually.

What do I need to read an RSS feed?

There is a wide variety of RSS Reader software available for you to download. Popular feed readers include Aphetadesk, FeedReader and NewsGator.

There are also a number of web-based feed readers available, such as My Yahoo!, Bloglines and Google Reader.

Many web browsers provide RSS-reading features built-in. Simply look for the orange RSS icon (RSS icon) and click to use features such as "Live Bookmarks."
