Sunday School
It is our goal for all children to feel welcome in our Sunday School! Classes meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. between church services.
SSPC uses the "Living Inside Out' program from Group Publishing with our kids ages 4 through 3rd Grade. Everyone meets in Rooms 111 and 112 for the beginning of the hour. The first half we spend in a large group, where we sing praise together, watch or perform skits, and do various object lessons that illustrate our Bible Point for the day. Then, the kids form smaller, age-based groups in nearby classrooms to further talk about the lesson AND to develop relationships with the others in their age range.
4th and 5th graders meet in Room 105, and use the Dwell curriculum from Faith Alive.
Middle School (grades 6, 7, and 8) meet upstairs in Room 202, and continue with the Dwell curriculum. This program explores Bible stories in age appropriate activities of all kinds.
Eighth graders also may choose to participate in the Confirmation Class to become full members of the church. Confirmation class currently meets the first Wednesday evening of each month.
Senior Highs (9th through 12th grade) meet downstairs in Room 104. They gather weekly with adult advisors and our Director of Youth and Young Adults Ministry to explore questions of faith, and how to live that faith in today's world.
