Small Group Activities

Why Small Groups?

Developing a sense of fellowship and community is an important part of church life at Silver Spring Presbyterian. We try to stimulate and provide opportunities for participation in a wide spectrum of activities. Activities that range from support of the worship service and groups dedicated to spiritual investigation and reflection to Softball. The groups and activities vary, but all serve to strengthen our sense of fellowship and community.

Who can participate?

Participation is not limited to church members. Just as our Silver Spring Presbyterian communion table is open to all, small group activities are open to all.

How do I/we get involved?

If you are interested in joining an existing group please contact the group leader for that group directly by phone or email. The church office will assist you in getting in touch if needed.

Can I/we start a new activity group? How do I/we get started?

Absolutely you can start a new group provided its purpose serves to reinforce Silver Spring fellowship and a sense of community. In 2010 we surveyed the Silver Spring congregation to determine the level of interest in various activities. There was interest expressed in a number of activities that have yet to organize themselves. We have retained these results and would be happy to discuss how to get started and who might have interest in the activity. Contact any one of the members listed below with questions related to starting a new group.
