CARE
When John the Baptist questioned whether or not Jesus was the one for whom God's people had been waiting, Jesus replied, "Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news brought to them." (Matthew 11: 4, 5) In other words, Jesus' ministry was defined by the care he extended to those in need.
In a similar way, the ministry of God's people is defined by the care extended to those in need. Here at Silver Spring, not only are folks cared for, but folks have the opportunity to learn how to care for others, and are called to exercise their own ministry of caring, following the example of Jesus.
