The Bible - VIII
A. J. Jacobs
The Year of Living Biblically
...he believes in God for this reason: The Bible is so strange, so utterly bizarre, no human brain could have come up with it. (20)
I have to admit, I have had the same thought. What human being would have made God speak throug ha doneky or have a prohet like Jonah, try to save the hated enemy, or be born to be poor family in Bethlehem or teach us the Jews that the best example of fatih was a Roman soldier, and on and on. Only God could think this up.
