Rev. Donald Steele
Pastor
Rev. Steele joined the staff in 2005. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with special honors in Religion from The George Washington University, a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Education in Adult Education from Penn State University.
Don has been married to Donna since 1986, and they have two boys, Matthew and Benjamin. He enjoys riding his bicycle, spending time at the beach, and cooking.
Rev. Ellen Crawford True
Parish Associate
Rev. Crawford True joined the staff in July 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Davidson College in North Carolina and a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Virginia.
Ellen has been married to David True since 1994. They live in Chambersburg with their daughter Abby. She enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking.
Rev. Karin Carter Carroll
Parish Associate
Rev. Carroll first joined the staff in 1988 as a full-time seminary intern and presently supplements the pastoral staff on a part-time basis. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley, where she majored in Near Eastern Languages. She later received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, and her M. Div. and S.T.M. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.
Karin and her husband John have two grown children and grandchild. She enjoys gardening, crocheting for the Fall Faire, and reading.
Lucy Vaughan
Organist
Lucy became a member of Silver Spring in February, 1978. She has served as organist since December, 1979. Lucy earned a BS degree in Music Ed , with a concentration in Organ from Radford College (now Radford Univ.). She feels it’s a blessing to help lead worship at Silver Spring.
In addition to music, Lucy enjoys going to the Outer Banks, reading, and spending time with her sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren.
Diane G. Rabold
Business Specialist
Diane joined the staff in 1999. She has a B.S. from East Stroudsburg University and has many years of experience in commercial banking.
Diane has been the head tennis coach at Bishop McDevitt High School for the past several years and also competes in league tennis.
Priscilla Biller
Office Manager
Priscilla joined the staff in 2009. She graduated from Messiah College with a B.S. in Biology and spent many years working in the field of Microbiology and Infection Control.
She has been married to Gerry for 15 years and enjoys time with their grandchildren, learning how to knit, and exercising.
June Morris
Custodial Supervisor
June Morris has been a member of our staff for more than 25 years. Her greatest joy is being a Grandmother to one girl and two boys. Her steady presence, strong work ethic and rich memory make her our most valuable player!
