Rev. Donald Steele
Pastor
Rev. Steele joined the staff in 2005. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with special honors in Religion from The George Washington University, a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Education in Adult Education from Penn State University.
Don has been married to Donna since 1986, and they have two boys, Matthew and Benjamin. He enjoys riding his bicycle, spending time at the beach, and cooking.
Rev. Ellen Crawford True
Parish Associate
Rev. Crawford True joined the staff in July 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Davidson College in North Carolina and a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Virginia.
Ellen has been married to David True since 1994. They live in Chambersburg with their daughter Abby. She enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking.
Kyle Anderson
Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Kyle Anderson joined the staff at Silver Spring in September 2010. He is a 2009 graduate of Messiah College with a B.A. degree in Christian Ministries with a concentration in Youth Ministry and a minor in Business Administration.
Kyle has been married to his wife Ashley since September 2009 and they have a small dog named Orion. Kyle is passionate about youth ministry and enjoys reading, listening and playing music, sports, people, and absolutely loves Taco Bell.
Paul Bellis
Director of Children and Families Ministry
Paul Bellis joined the staff in 2011. Paul is a long time member of Silver Spring having grown up in the church. He graduated from Mechanicsburg High School and then attended Millersville University. Paul has worked for Fry Communications since 1986.
Paul has been married to Elizabeth since 1999 and he has three children, Ashley, David, and Sarah. He enjoys spending time with his family, vacationing in The Outer Banks, and playing golf.
Kent and Heidi Kenyon
Choir Directors
Kent and Heidi Kenyon began their music ministry at Silver Spring in 2008. Die-hard Mountaineer fans, Kent and Heidi are proud graduates of West Virginia University. Heidi graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Kent graduated in 2004 with the same degree. In 2006, they returned to their alma mater to obtain a Master's degree and met during their first semester. They graduated together in 2008 with a Master of Music in Music Education. Kent is currently the high school band director at Boiling Springs High School and Heidi teaches middle school choir and general music at Northern Middle School.
When Kent and Heidi are not busy with school or church, they enjoy playing with their beautiful golden retriever, Java, watching Mountaineer football, and spending time with family and friends.
Erica Ickes
Organist
Erica earned a BA degree in Music, with a concentration in Piano from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI. She has served several churches as choir accompanist and substitute organist in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. She is very happy to be here at Silver Spring. Erica enjoys running, teaching piano and spending time with her son and husband.
Barbara Shoun
Parish Nurse
Barbara Shoun has been a member of Silver Spring for 25 years. She joined the staff in September 2010. She earned a Registered Nurse degree from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Health Arts from Saint Frances University. Her career in nursing and medicine has been varied in several specialties.
Barbara enjoys sewing, crafts, going to the beach at Cape May, N.J. and spending time with her 4 granddaughters.
Diane G. Rabold
Business Specialist
Diane joined the staff in 1999. She has a B.S. from East Stroudsburg University and has many years of experience in commercial banking.
Diane has been the head tennis coach at Bishop McDevitt High School for the past several years and also competes in league tennis.
Priscilla Biller
Office Manager
Priscilla joined the staff in 2009. She graduated from Messiah College with a B.S. in Biology and spent many years working in the field of Microbiology and Infection Control.
Priscilla and her husband Gerry stay active by playing with their 5 grandchildren. She also enjoys her knitting group, reading and cooking.
John Clegg
Custodial Supervisor
John joined our staff in 2010. He lives in Newport with his wife and their two boys, Johnny and Justin, who are the joys of his life. John enjoys fishing, hunting and chocolate. He loves serving people which is evident the moment you meet him.
